We are proud to announce that we have been awarded funding by The National Lottery through Arts Council England and Southend on Sea Borough Council to run a series of fully funded, free workshops for schools and community groups in the South East Essex area as part of a project called Re-Cycled Tales.
The Project which is being run in conjunction with Spinning Yarns Theatre will explore the stories of the communities living in the area, both real and imagined, past and present and will form the basis for a new performance piece to be showcased later in the year. Schools are being engaged through exploring and creating myths for the Estuary and the wider community are being asked for their memories of growing up in the area.
If your school would like to be involved and is in the Shoebury, Southend, Basildon or Grays area do get in contact.
Public events where you can get involved are listed below.
5th September: 3.15pm - 5.15pm
